Ongoing project
My first love was a horse
And I felt that the horse loved me too
I didn’t really know how to communicate with humans
But then I had my horse
My horse was my first teacher
They taught me patience
To stay calm
To use body language in ways they could understand and trust
They taught me to control my fear
Rationalize it
Understand why I get scared
When I close my eyes they are just walking there
In a big field under the stars
In the sun, in the rain
